Becoming a Resource Parent
Welcoming Children into Our Hearts and Homes
In Orange County, California, there are over 3,000 children who have been abused and neglected. There is a great need for adults to provide care for these children. Some of these children need temporary care and other children need permanent care as decided on a case-by-case basis by the Juvenile Court.
Since 1988, Beta Foster Care has been successfully facilitating the calling of caring adults to welcome these children into their hearts and homes. Every Resource Family (the term in California for a Foster Family since 2017) needs to explore their foster care, and possibly adoption, journey individually. Each family has a vision of their journey, which may be caring for one foster child in need, or possibly siblings or more.
